Yuba County Sheriff’s POP Team Applying Pressure

February 9, 2026 – Yuba County, CA – Yuba County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team has dismantled a fentanyl supply network responsible for distributing deadly fentanyl into Yuba County and surrounding areas.

In January 2026, the POP Team arrested a fentanyl dealer operating in Yuba County who was found in possession of approximately 10 ounces of fentanyl. Rather than stopping at the street level, detectives launched a focused follow-up investigation to identify and dismantle the source of the operation. Through their investigative efforts, detectives identified two individuals in Oakland who were believed to be supplying fentanyl into Yuba County and neighboring communities.

On February 3, 2026, the POP Team, with assistance from the Alameda County Narcotics Task Force, conducted a coordinated operation in Oakland that resulted in the arrest of both suppliers. During the operation, detectives seized nearly four pounds of fentanyl. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and are facing multiple felony charges related to narcotics trafficking.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are anticipated. As a result, limited information about the suspects’ identities and residences is being released at this time.

This case highlights the Sheriff’s Office commitment to aggressively targeting those responsible for poisoning our communities with fentanyl. By working closely with our regional partners, deputies are able to reach beyond county lines and hold traffickers accountable at every level of distribution.
