February 9, 2026 – Anaheim Police Department officials sadly announced the passing of investigator Jaime Llamas on February 3, 2026.

Anaheim Police Department: With heavy hearts, we share the passing of one of our own.

After a long and courageous battle with terminal brain cancer, an Anaheim Police investigator Jaime Llamas passed away peacefully last night at home, surrounded by loved ones.

He served our community with dedication and professionalism since 2006, and his impact on this department and the people we serve will not be forgotten.

In honor of his service, uniformed personnel and our Honor Guard stood by as he was escorted from his home with dignity and respect, while our Air Support helicopter, Angel, flew overhead in tribute. It was a powerful reminder of the bond shared by those who wear the badge.

While we mourn this loss, we also celebrate a life of service, strength, and commitment to others. His legacy lives on in the work he did, the lives he touched, and the brothers and sisters who will always carry his memory with them.
