Sending Harmful Matter to Minors Investigation 

February 25, 2026 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that on February 19th, 2026, The Moorpark Police Ventura County Sheriff logoDepartment received a call for service regarding a former Moorpark Unified School District and Oak Park Unified school district substitute teacher, alleged to have been sending harmful matter to minor students. 

The report was initially investigated by members of the Moorpark Police Department.  The East County Major Crimes – Sexual Assault Unit assumed investigative control of the case and are actively investigating the allegations.
