February 25, 2026 – Imperial County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at approximately 10:12 P.M. (2212 hours), Imperial County Deputies were patrolling the area of Clark and McCabe when they observed a black Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with no taillights.

During the investigation Deputies were given consent to search the vehicle. Deputies discovered a container with 38 grams of heroin. During the search deputies also discovered methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and a scale. The driver and passenger were later booked into the Imperial County Jail.
