Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Severely Injured 

March 4, 2026 – North Hills, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Valley Traffic Detectives (VTD) are investigating a hit-and-run traffic collision that caused severe injuries to a 39-year-old male.

On March 2, 2026, around 7:55 p.m., an older model, dark-colored, Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Nordhoff Street passing Sepulveda Boulevard when it struck a 39-year-old male pedestrian who was walking inside a marked crosswalk. The driver failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid as required by law.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian in critical condition to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. His name is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
