Burglary Suspects Arrested 

March 6, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on February 24, 2026, about 6:35 a.m., deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to the report of a burglary at a business in the 72000 block of Frank Sinatra Drive, Rancho Mirage. The victim reported that unknown subjects broke into a construction storage container at the location and stole numerous electrical and construction materials.

The Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station Robbery and Burglary Suppression Team assumed the investigation and identified Jose Fabian Arias, a 44-year-old resident of Perris, and Armando Jamaica, a 29-year-old resident of Riverside, as the suspects involved in the burglary.

On March 5, 2026, about 9:00 a.m. with the assistance of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, Rancho Mirage Problem Oriented Policing Team, the Riverside Sheriff’s K-9 Team and Aviation unit, located and apprehended Arias in the 5800 block of Hudson Street in Riverside and Jamica was located and apprehended in at the 29000 block of 13th Street in Perris.

During the investigation, multiple search warrants were served in the 1500 block of Marigold Drive in the city of Perris and in the 5400 block of Felspar in the unincorporated area of Riverside, leading to the recovery of the victim’s stolen property.

Arias and Jamaica were transported and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio for burglary, grand theft, felony vandalism, theft with priors, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property.
