March 10, 2026 – Porter Ranch, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that Valley Traffic Detectives
(VTD) are investigating a fatal traffic collision that killed a 22-year-old male passenger.
On March 8, 2026, around 10:05 a.m., a 2015 gray Acura was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound Tampa Avenue south of Tunney Street, when it lost control, ran off the roadway, and collided with a tri light and private property. The force of the collision caused one of the passengers to sustain fatal injuries and a second passenger to sustain moderate injuries.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the 22-year-old male rear passenger dead at scene. His name is being withheld pending identification and notification of next of kin by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner.
The driver suffered severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was identified as Ernesto Ramos, a 23-year-old resident of Northridge. He remains at the hospital under police custody at this time and will be facing charges upon his release.
