Illegal Firearm Recovered from Armed Juvenile Probationer 

March 12, 2026 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that on March 4, 2026, at about 5:00 p.m., officers conducted a stop on a juvenile who was known to be on active juvenile probation and previously documented by the Yuba City Police Department as an active participant in the Norteño criminal street gang.

During the stop, officers conducted a probation search and located a concealed 9mm handgun in the juvenile’s waistband. The juvenile was taken into custody without incident and transported to Juvenile Hall, where he was booked for minor in possession of a handgun and carrying a concealed firearm.

Removing illegal firearms from our streets remains a priority for the Yuba City Police Department as we continue working to address gang activity and keep our community safe.
