Fatal Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision
March 16, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on March 15, 2026, at 2:23 a.m., deputies assigned to the Jurupa
Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Mission Boulevard and Campbell Street, Jurupa Valley, regarding a hit and run traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. When deputies arrived, they located the victim lying in the roadway with major injuries, and ultimately pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision. The identity of the victim will not be released at this time, pending notification to the next of kin. The collision investigation required the temporary closure of the intersection at Mission Boulevard and Campbell Street.
