March 17, 2026 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that late last Wednesday evening, a routine traffic stop near Colusa Avenue and Gray Avenue led to the discovery of illegal drugs and an arrest.
During the stop, officers determined the driver was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Prior to the vehicle being towed, officers conducted an inventory of the vehicle and located cocaine, fentanyl, multiple digital scales, and packaging materials commonly associated with drug sales.
Further investigation revealed the driver had prior drug-related convictions. She was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail on charges including possession of narcotics with prior convictions, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license.
Situations like this are a reminder that proactive policing and everyday traffic stops often uncover more serious criminal activity. Removing dangerous drugs like fentanyl from our streets helps keep our community safer.
