Fatal Traffic Collision 

March 17, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on March 15, 2026, at 9:33 p.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded the area of Highway 74 and Trellis Lane, Lake Elsinore, regarding a major injury traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located a collision involving three vehicles with drivers suffering from major injuries. Medical personnel responded and all three drivers were transported to local hospitals in critical condition, where one driver succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made. The deceased driver’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
