Double Homicide Suspect Arrested 

March 27, 2026 – Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at about 12:00 p.m., North Patrol deputies were dispatched to the Sunshine Mobile Village at 6132 Main Avenue in Orangevale regarding a possible shooting. Numerous people called 9-1-1 saying someone was shot. It was later reported a second person was also shot.

As deputies were arriving on scene, callers reported the suspect lived at the location and had returned to his trailer. Deputies on scene approached the trailer and attempted to locate the victims. A BearCat (armored military-style vehicle) from Folsom Police arrived on scene and was able to approach the suspect’s trailer.

Using the armor, deputies and officers from the FPD were able to extract 2 victims from the location. One victim, an adult female, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, an adult male was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The suspect, 58-year-old John Clarke, was detained without incident outside of his trailer. He was later booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on two counts of Murder and is ineligible for bail.

The names of the victims will be released by the Coroner, in accordance with their policies, after next of kin notifications have been made.
