Sending Harmful Matter to Minors Arrest 

March 28, 2026 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that on February 19th, 2026, the Moorpark Police Department Ventura County Sheriff logoreceived a call for service regarding a Moorpark Unified School District and Oak Park Unified School District substitute teacher, identified as Mia Fisch, who was alleged to have been sending harmful matter to minor students.  The report was initially investigated by members of the Moorpark Police Department.  The East County Major Crimes – Sexual Assault Unit assumed investigative control of the case. Multiple interviews were conducted and multiple search warrants were authored for electronic data related to the investigation.

At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives had probable cause to arrest Fisch for violation of California Penal Code 288.2(a)(2)- Distributing, Sending, or Exhibiting Harmful Material to Seduce a Minor. On March 26th, 2026, detectives from the East County Sexual Assault Unit arrested Fisch and booked her at the Ventura County Jail for the listed charges.
