Child Abuse Search Warrant in Spring Valley 

April 9, 2026 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on April 7, 2026, shortly after 2:00 p.m., detectives from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Office assisted Child Welfare Services (CWS) in executing a search warrant on the 9000 block of Eucalyptus Street in Spring Valley. The residents, Karina Rice (31), Diann Whitt (67) and Jarron Wood (30) were located inside the residence and were detained.

During the search of the residence, cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located throughout the residence. 

Karina Rice, Diann Whitt and Jarron Wood were placed under arrest for child abuse and drug related charges.  

During the detention, it was determined Jarron Wood had a bookable misdemeanor arrest warrant. During a search of his person, he was found to be in possession of 7.17 grams of methamphetamines. Wood was arrested and booked into San Diego Central Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
