Hit-and-Run Severely Injures Motorcyclist 

April 10, 2026 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the South Traffic Division detectives LAPD logoare seeking the public’s help in identifying a driver that struck a motorcyclist, causing severe injuries.

On March 15, 2026, at approximately 6:50 a.m., an older-model red Honda Odyssey, was driving southbound Normandie Avenue at 48th Street. The vehicle made a left turn and collided into a motorcyclist who was traveling northbound Normandie Avenue at 48th Street. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and struck the roadway. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and identify themselves and render aid as required by law, and fled eastbound 48th Street towards Raymond Avenue.

Los Angeles Fire Department’s paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where they were treated for serious injuries.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
