Narcotics Arrest in Vista 

April 17, 2026 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff's Office Vista Gang Enforcement Team (GET) have arrested two individuals and seized hundreds of pounds of illicit narcotics following a multi-city investigation into illegal drug distribution.

On April 9, 2026, GET deputies contacted Harris Dost (21) and Abdulah Mohamed (23) in the 100 block of Main Street in the City of Vista. During a search of the suspects' vehicle, deputies seized 81 tablets of Alprazolam (commonly known as Xanax), $2,545 in U.S. currency, and dozens of cannabis and nicotine e-cigarettes.
Dost and Mohamed were arrested at the scene and booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
Through subsequent investigative efforts, deputies discovered that Dost and Mohamed were utilizing Instagram to market and illegally sell controlled substances to buyers throughout San Diego County.

Investigators identified a storage unit and two residences associated with the suspects in the cities of San Diego and Chula Vista. On April 10, 2026, deputies executed search warrants at these locations, leading to discovery of narcotics.

During the April 10 search warrants, deputies seized an additional $14,268 in U.S. currency, 502 pounds of marijuana e-cigarettes, 36.5 pounds of THC-infused drinks, 24.5 pounds of marijuana gummies and candy, 18 pounds of marijuana concentrate, 11.5 pounds of processed marijuana, 4 pounds of psychedelic mushrooms, 152 tablets of Alprazolam, 4.2 grams of cocaine, and 1.7 grams of MDMA.
