UPDATE: Sexual Battery in Poway
May 5, 2026 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 2nd, 2026, after 6:00 P.M., a 10-year-old female juvenile was sexually battered by an unknown male near the 13400 block of Midland Road in the City of Poway. The juvenile's friend was with her and screamed for the male to stop. The male stopped and fled the scene on an electric scooter. Sheriff's ASTREA, K9, and deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Child Abuse Unit (CAU) Detectives took over the investigation and completed a canvas of the area.
Suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30-40 years old, medium build and complexion, approximately 5'10", black shaved hair with a receding hairline, a large nose, acne scars, unshaven, and bushy eyebrows. He was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a grey colored hooded sweatshirt, and black shorts.
