Fatal Traffic Collision 

May 11, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 9, 2026, at 11:00 p.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Railroad Canyon Road and Church Road, regarding major injury traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, with the rider unresponsive and suffering from significant injuries. Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the subject succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation. The motorcyclist was identified as Joshua Coan, a 44-year-old resident of Menifee. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
