Don't be suspicious... 

May 24, 2026 – Sutter County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Wednesday, May 20th, detectives contacted a suspicious vehicle at the Quik Stop on Bogue Road and contacted a male subject who initially provided a false identity.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies located 185.87 grams (approximately 6.5 ounces) of methamphetamine and a digital scale. The subject later admitted to providing false information and was found to have an active arrest warrant and to be on parole. A criminal history review also showed prior qualifying narcotics convictions.

42-year-old Justin Griffith of Montague was arrested for violating his parole, false impersonation, possession of burglary tools, his outstanding warrant, possession of methamphetamine for sale, and numerous narcotic related offenses.

Griffith was booked into the Sutter County Jail without incident and the vehicle was towed.
