Homicide Investigation - Update
May 27, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the victim in this investigation was 
identified as Scott Leflore, a 32-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. During the course of the investigation, homicide investigators identified the suspect as 39-year-old Jeffery Donnel Hendrix (pictured), a resident of Moreno Valley.
On May 23, 2026, with the assistance of the Riverside Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit, homicide investigators arrested Hendrix in the city of Rialto without incident. Hendrix was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for murder.
