Fatal Traffic Collision 

June 2, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 4:25 a.m., deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the area of Etiwanda Avenue and Inland Avenue, Jurupa Valley, regarding a major-injury traffic collision involving two semi-trucks. When deputies arrived, they located the driver of one of the vehicles lying on the ground suffering from major injuries and was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene. The other driver was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it appears alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the collision. The identity of the decedent will not be released at this time, pending next of kin notification.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Etiwanda Avenue from Philadelphia Avenue to Hopkins Street to process the scene and collect evidence.
