Suspect Arrested for Inappropriate Contact with a Juvenile Inmate
July 14, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, July 9, 2026, the Riverside County
Probation Department contacted the Riverside Sheriff’s Office regarding allegations of an employee having an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile inmate. The Riverside Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit assumed the investigation and identified the suspect as Probation Supervisor Nancy Salcedo (pictured), a 43-year-old resident of Indio.
On July 12, 2026, investigators served a search warrant at Salcedo’s residence located in the city of Indio. Salcedo was located, taken into custody without incident, and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for annoying and molesting a juvenile and unauthorized computer access. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional details are available at this time.
