August 1, 2026 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on July 30, 2026, San Bernardino County Detectives Investigate In-Custody Death of ...Homicide detectives continued their investigation and learned that after the power to the residence was interrupted, the victim, Shukur Aikebaer, exited his home to inspect the electrical panel. At that time, two suspects, Zhengfeng Bo and Jianquan Bo, shot and kidnapped Aikebaer, leading to the subsequent events. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the power outage.

Investigators also learned the deceased suspect, Zhengfeng, and Aikebaer knew each other through a prior working relationship.

With assistance from the Irvine Police Department, investigators served a search warrant at the residence Zhengfeng shared with the second suspect, Jianquan Bo, in Irvine, recovering evidence during the operation.

Jianquan Bo was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for murder and kidnapping.  He remains in custody without bail.

This will serve as the last update. The investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for review and filing of charges.
