August 11, 2026 – Yuba City, CA – Yuba City Police Department officials report that they are investigating a robbery that occurred Friday afternoon at a jewelry store located inside the Yuba Sutter Marketplace, located at 1215 Colusa Avenue.

At approximately 2:33 p.m. on August 7, 2026, multiple masked suspects entered the jewelry store and used sledgehammers to smash display cases before stealing a significant amount of jewelry. The suspects fled the mall immediately following the robbery. No injuries were reported.

A vehicle believed to have been used during the robbery was located a short time later abandoned outside of Yuba City and was determined to have been previously reported stolen.

The victim has provided a preliminary estimate of approximately $200,000 to $250,000 in stolen jewelry. The final loss remains under review.

This is the second robbery of a jewelry store in Yuba City within the past month. Detectives are actively investigating this incident and following up on available evidence and leads.

No arrests have been made at this time. Because this remains an active investigation, additional details are not being released.
