August 13, 2026 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Tuesday morning, August 11, 2026, deputies from the Poway Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 14000 block of Brighton Avenue in Poway. Upon entering the residence, deputies located an adult female suffering from traumatic injuries. She was transported by paramedics to a local hospital for medical care.

The circumstances and motive surrounding the incident remain under investigation. No arrests have been made. Based on the information gathered so far, this appears to be an isolated incident.
