Grand Theft & Vandalism of a Flock Camera System 

August 30, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on August 25, 2026, at 8:58 p.m., a deputy from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station was patrolling in the area of East Benton Road and De Portola Road when he was contacted by a citizen who reported that a group of individuals had loaded a cut-down Flock Safety Camera into a vehicle. A license plate number for the suspect vehicle was provided, and with assistance from the Riverside Sheriff’s Aviation Unit, deputies located the vehicle at a residence in the 43000 block of Matera Court, Temecula.

Deputies responded to the location and conducted a traffic stop. Deputies detained the occupants of the vehicle without incident. With assistance from Southwest Station investigators, deputies recovered the stolen property, which will be returned to Flock Safety. The primary suspect, identified as Andrew Anderson, an 18-year-old resident of Temecula, was arrested and booked into the Coys Bryd Detention Center on charges of grand theft and felony vandalism. All other occupants of the vehicle were released.
