September 6, 2026 – Imperial County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday September 02, 2026, Imperial County Sheriff’s Deputies assigned to the Winterhaven Sub-Station conducted a vehicle check on a female subject that was parked near Winterhaven Drive and Picacho Road along the Yuma Main Canal. It was later revealed that the female subject was Danielle Meeden (37). A loaded firearm was located in plain view inside the vehicle. Deputies were aware from prior law enforcement contacts with Meeden that she was a convicted felon. A search incident to arrest lead to the discovery of 17 grams of methamphetamine, a scale and multiple plastic baggies.
A Criminal History Record was conducted on Meeden with the assistance of ICSO Dispatchers, and it verified her prior felony convictions which makes it illegal for her to possess a firearm. Meeden was transported to the Imperial County Jail where she was booked for Felon in Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Narcotics for sales and, Possession of Methamphetamines with a Loaded Firearm.
