DUI Arrest & Loaded Firearm Recovered
September 9, 2026 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that in the early morning hours of September 3, Yuba City Police Department graveyard-shift officers were dispatched to the area of the 5th Street Bridge regarding a possible traffic collision.
Upon arrival, officers located a Honda Accord that had gone down an embankment. The vehicle was being driven by a 27-year-old male.
During the investigation, officers determined the male was under the influence and he was subsequently arrested for DUI. A loaded/concealed .38 caliber revolver was also located during the investigation.
The male was booked into the Sutter County Jail on DUI and weapons-related charges.
Drinking and driving is dangerous, and being in possession of a firearm while intoxicated can make an already dangerous situation even more dangerous. Make responsible choices and never drive under the influence.
