Silver Alert Issued for Missing 73-Year-Old Man 

September 12, 2026 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the family and friends of Vertis Walker, along with the Los Angeles Police Department, are seeking the public’s help in locating him.

On September 9, 2026, around 8:00 p.m., 73-year-old Vertis Walker was last seen near the 7000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard. Mr. Walker suffers from schizophrenia and cognitive impairment.

Mr. Walker is described as a Black male with brown hair and brown eyes. He stands approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs around 190 pounds. Mr. Walker has a full beard and mustache. He was last wearing a light blue tracksuit and white shirt.
