Officer-Involved Shooting in Hollywood Division 

**The following information is based on a preliminary and ongoing investigation, which continues to evolve as investigators interview witnesses, review physical and electronic records, and analyze forensic evidence. September 15, 2026 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the (LAPD) Force Los Angeles Police Department Announce Arrest of Two Armed Robbery ...Investigation Division is investigating an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) that occurred in Hollywood Division.

On September 12, 2026, at around 9:35 p.m., Hollywood Patrol Division uniformed officers responded to a radio call of an ambulance cutting at a residence in the 9300 block of Warbler Way.

Upon their arrival to the location, they were directed to a male victim inside the residence who was suffering from stab wounds. A rescue ambulance was requested for this victim. While inside the residence, the officers learned the suspect was in a bedroom with an additional male and was still armed with a knife. Additional officers responded to the location and a team was assembled to take the suspect into custody. As the officers approached the bedroom, they observed the suspect struggling with the additional male over the knife and heard the suspect making statements he was going to kill the male. The officers gave the suspect multiple commands to surrender which he refused, resulting in an OIS.

The suspect was struck by gunfire, dropped the knife and was taken into custody. The officers immediately rendered medical aid to the suspect and requested the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) to respond. LAFD responded, however, the suspect failed to respond to medical treatment and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect was in possession of a 13-inch kitchen knife with a 7½-inch blade which was recovered at scene and booked into evidence.

The initial victim of the cutting was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.

No officers or additional community members were injured during this incident.
