Investigation of Armed Robbery in Live Oak 

October 19, 2026 – Sutter County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Live Oak late Tuesday evening, October 13, 2026.

Deputies responded after a victim reported being threatened with a firearm and robbed near the Live Oak Skate Park. The victim reported that two male suspects were involved in the incident before fleeing the area.

Both suspects have since been taken into custody. The two suspects in this incident are identified as 22-year-old Hugo Diaz Chavez of Live Oak and 25-year-old Francisco Ramos of Live Oak.

Diaz Chavez was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail for assault with a firearm on a person, robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime, probation violations and several narcotics related charges.

Ramos was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail for robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The investigation remains ongoing.
