Suspect Arrested for Sale of Kratom to Minors 

October 21, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that in August of 2026, the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station received a complaint regarding a business in the 22000 block of Palomar Street, Wildomar, illegally selling Kratom and flavored nicotine pouches to minors. The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team was notified and assumed the investigation. The suspect was ultimately identified as Samih Tobia, a 46-year-old resident of Fontana.

On October 15, 2026, with the assistance of Riverside County Environmental Health and the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, deputies served a search warrant in the 22000 block of Palomar Street, where Tobias was taken into custody without incident. During service of the search warrant, several evidence items were seized, including Kratom pills, Kratom powder, Kratom drinks, flavored nicotine pouches, flavored loose-leaf tobacco, brass knuckles, and Psilocybin mushrooms, valued at approximately $285,000.

Tobia was later booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center for possession of Psilocybin mushrooms for sale, possession of brass knuckles for sale, possession of Kratom and 7-OH products for sale and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
