August 3, 2021 -  The US Interagency Wildland Fire Air Quality Response Program Smoke Outlook for the Tamarack Fire in Alpine County for Tuesday-Wednesday.

Fire: The Tamarack Fire remains 68,696 acres with 82% containment. Fire activity today is expected to be low with minimal fire spread.

Smoke: Expect similar conditions today compared to yesterday. Light smoke from the Dixie Fire will continue to impact the area at times, especially during the night and morning hours. Moderate smoke may move into the Pyramid Lake, Fernley, and Fallon areas overnight. Smoke impacts from the Tamarack Fire will be limited to those communities near the fire, with continued light smoke in the Woodfords and Markleeville areas, especially in the morning.
