August 8, 2021 - The US Interagency Wildland Fire Air Quality Response Program Smoke Outlook for the Dixie Fire for Sunday.
Fire: The Dixie Fire is now 463,477 acres with 21% Contained
Smoke: The inversion that we have experienced the last couple of days is lifting with general winds from the southwest increasing. Areas to the northeast of the Dixie fire will experience smoky conditions with other area expected to have better air conditions in the coming days.
Health and Safety:
Wildfire smoke is a mix of gases and fine particles from burning vegetation, building materials, and other materials. Wildfire smoke can make anyone sick. Even someone who is healthy can get sick if there is enough smoke in the air. https://www.cdc.gov/disasters/wildfires/smoke.html
