DIXIE FIRE – TRAFFIC TRAVEL UPDATE

August 17, 2021 -  A travel and traffic update has been issued for the Dixie Fire area.

Roadway Updates for Hwy 395 and Hwy 44 At Hwy 36

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

HWY 395:
HWY 395 is currently one-way controlled north and south traffic from Desert Pine to A3 Janesville

HWY 44:
Hwy 44 is currently open between the 36/44 junction and Old Station 44/89

NOTE: Please be prepared for alternate routes of travel and possible delays. As fire conditions change, these roads may be closed due to increased fire activity.

SAFETY MESSAGE: The public is reminded to stay vigilant on current fire conditions. Please continue to adhere to road closures and any evacuation warnings. A reminder to drive slowly and yield to emergency personnel in the area. There will be smoke in the respective areas as firefighters continue firefighting operations.
