Evacuation Orders Reduced for Some Areas Effective Immediately
August 24, 2021 - Mandatory Evacuation Orders have been reduced to Evacuation Warnings for Residents only for: Janesville and Milford west of Hwy 395 from Jeters Rd/Appleblossom Ln south to Milford Grade and west to the base of the mountains (unpopulated area) Zones LAS-E010A, D, E and LAS-E009-B
SAFETY MESSAGE: Residents should be aware that changing conditions in fire activity may cause this area to escalate back to a mandatory evacuation order at any time. If you have evacuated large animals and vehicles, please keep them out of the area.

The following areas in the east part of Plumas County bordering the Lassen County line are being DOWNGRADED from mandatory evacuation to an evacuation warning:
--P Zone 34 Dixie Mountain range north of the Plumas/Lassen County line; this includes Jordan Flat, Ferris Flat, Fitch Canyon and Cottonwood Mtn.
--P Zone 43A Sugar Loaf area including Frenchman Road near Bloomer Lake Road, north to the county line, and the Plumas side of Doyle Grade.
*These areas were deemed safe from active fire and hazard trees. These areas are largely unpopulated, but any residents in the area should stay alert of changing conditions.
*National forest closures remain in effect.
*Property owners should NOT sift through any damaged properties due to environmental health hazards. Please note that if you do so, you may impact your eligibility for state-assisted cleanup, as well as your insurance process.
