The Mariposa Library will be showing the family film Oddball on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Admission is free and popcorn and cool air are included.
Oddball is a movie based on the true story of a sheepdog who was trained to protect a colony of endangered fairy penguins from fox attacks by an unconventional Australian chicken farmer named Swampy. If the colony is reduced to fewer than 10 penguins, the sanctuary will be lost and the island turned into a whale watching site for tourists.
Free family movies are shown at the library on the second Wednesday of the month.
