On Thursday, May 25, Teena Starchman's third and fourth graders and Erika Miranda's fifth and sixth graders at Sierra Foothill Charter School visited the Fresno Art Museum. They enjoyed several new exhibits. They saw artist Nancy Youdelman’s work. She is an original member of the feminist art movement that began 50 years ago in Fresno. They also saw Leslie Batty’s work centered around American feminine identity and the roles gender has in our society. Both classes also enjoyed a funky art lesson led by our docents, followed by a nice picnic in the museum’s sculpture garden. It was a wonderful field trip.

Conner Eastwood, Kai Yoshida, Joan Soldevila, and Ronin Yoshida enjoy the effect of switching out sections of their art work to create new and funny pieces.
