July 1, 2017 - The California Highway Patrol (CHP) 4th of July Holiday reminder.

As our country’s Independence Day festivities draw closer, many of us will be celebrating with family, friends, and enjoying fireworks and barbecues.

The CHP reminds motorists to slow down on the roadways and celebrate responsibly.

Beginning at 6:01 p.m. on Friday, June 30, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, the CHP will observe a Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP) focused on speed enforcement.
