“We encourage taxpayers affected by these fires to reach out to us if they will have trouble filing,” said Nick Maduros, Director of the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA, formerly the Board of Equalization). “We stand ready and willing to work with impacted business owners to make sure they have the time and support necessary to meet their tax and fee obligations.”
Tax and fee payers for the programs below can call the CDTFA Customer Service Center toll-free at 1-800-400-7115 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Pacific Time), to request relief from penalties and/or interest and ask for an extension of time to file their tax or fee returns.
