Mr. Love has lived in the Greeley Hill area for 25 years and is heavily involved in mitigating the tree mortality disaster through his participation in the Sierra Nevada Conservancy’s Gentry Creek Watershed Restoration Project.
“ It has been our long-term goal to provide more services to our north county residents who are often given the short end of the stick” says Michael Beaudoin, MCFSC director, “Hiring Mr. Love gives us an individual who has on-the-ground experience mitigating tree mortality and fire-hazards in the north county.”
Mr. Love will assist MCFSC’s board and executive director with the oversight and management of all north county programs.
The MCFSC is currently planning several fuel breaks in the Greeley Hill area with funds from the USFS- Stanislaus National Forest.
The MCFSC currently offers free chipping services to all Mariposa County residents and offers a defensible space brushing service to qualified senior residents.
