As you probably realize, outbound service on YARTS runs 10, 11 and 12 will be delayed so long as Hwy 140 is closed between El Portal and Yosemite Valley. Those of us who drove to work in El Portal today are encouraged to please stop by the NPS maintenance stop and shuttle some co-workers to Midpines or Mariposa.
YARTS has one bus now en route to El Portal. That bus will not run beyond Yosemite View Lodge and it will be made available for return trips to Midpines, Mariposa and Merced. As soon as more information is available, I will relay the pick-up time by e-mail.
With only one outbound bus being likely this evening, motorists are kindly asked to make empty seats available to stranded colleagues.
Update: YARTS run #9 is canceled. YARTS will be making a stop here at NPS Maintenance at the regular time of 5:18 P.M. for run #10. Inbound run #6 will terminate at Yosemite View and then return back through El Portal, but it won't stop at NPS Maintenance until 7:42 P.M. this evening.
We're still waiting to hear about the status of the buses leaving Yosemite Valley. As soon as we know, we'll update you.
