On Saturday, August 12th, 2017 the Mariposa County Fair Rodeo Royalty Contestants participated in their competition day. Horsemanship testing was held in the morning for all divisions, followed by personal interviews with the Princess and Queen contestants, and ending with all contestants coming back together for the on stage performance held at the Royalty Dinner later that night.
Special thanks to the FFA Boosters who served dinner along with all the volunteers, judges, fairgrounds staff, parents and sponsors for helping to support this event. Tickets for the rodeo are still available for the rodeo which takes place on Sunday, September 3rd at the Mariposa Fairgrounds at the fair box office or any Rodeo Royalty Contestants. The crowning of the new Mariposa County Fair Rodeo Royalty will take place at 7:00 p.m. with the rodeo starting at 8:00 p.m. The girls are also selling raffle tickets for $1.00, with a chance to win at a $500 visa card that will be given away at the rodeo. Need not be present to win. Support the Mariposa Friends of the Fairgrounds Foundation as we are dedicated to keeping the Fairgrounds open now and for future generations to enjoy.
