September 11, 2017 - The 5 foothill 4-H counties will once again have 4-H members representing their county at the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance slated for Saturday, September 23 at the Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. This is the 21st year that The Ironstone 4-H Foundation has put on this vintage car show. Proceeds from the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance benefit Central and Northern California youth in agriculture, notably Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H Youth Development Program. In addition, the non-profit Ironstone Foundation has helped fund the California State FFA headquarters in Galt, California; scholarships in partnership with the California State Fair; and the Calaveras County Fair scholarship program.
This event features over 300+ classic automobiles in the beautiful setting of Ironstone Vineyards. The event also features vintage trailers, housecars, antique trucks and motorcycles, race cars and wooden boats. Honored vehicle marques vary but this year includes BMW, Corvette, Studebaker, Packard, Duesenberg, Pierce-Arrow, Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Special classes spotlight early Fords, streamlined cars, sports cars, exotics, race cars, coach built luxury marques, plus unrestored and original automobiles.
This renowned event for classic automotive enthusiasts, the Concours d’Elegance is truly an event you don’t want to miss. Tickets cost $25 per adult or $45 per couple or a family (a family is considered two adults and 2 children). Children under 14 admitted free.
