September 27, 2017 - Six new park-model cabins are being installed at Lake McSwain and will be open to the public in the coming months.
The small lodgings are similar to those that have been available for rent at the Barrett Cove Area at nearby Lake McClure. Photos and information of those sites can be seen by clicking here or visiting www.LakeMcClure.com
“These are a fantastic and comfortable way to experience the outdoors,” said Bret Theodozio, MID Parks and Recreation Director. “They have been extremely popular at Lake McClure. We had many requests to have these at Lake McSwain. We couldn’t be happier to begin providing them.”
The park-models can sleep up to eight people, are furnished, have running water, electricity and air conditioning. Other amenities include kitchens, dishes, microwave ovens, stoves and full bathrooms.
They are being installed in the D-Loop camping area overlooking Lake McSwain. Additional information about reservations and pricing will be provided when the installation of the cabins are complete.
