Members of the Board of Trustees are elected at large and are responsible for establishing a long-term vision for the school district; adoption of policy, curriculum, the budget and collective bargaining agreements; ensuring accountability to the public, including personnel, programmatic and fiscal accountability; and providing community leadership and advocacy at the local, state and national levels on behalf of children, district programs and public education. A qualified candidate would be one with a desire to ensure a quality education for all students of Mariposa County. The successful candidate will be selected by the Board of Trustees following an oral interview in an open session meeting.
Regular meetings of the Board of Trustees are normally held the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the District Office in Mariposa. Special meetings are tentatively scheduled for the last Thursday of the month, or as needed.
