deliberation, the Board took action to provisionally appoint Steve Bacus to fill the vacancy until the next regularly scheduled election for board member (November 2018).Unless a petition calling for a special election pursuant to Education Code 5091 is filed in the Office of the County Superintendent of Schools within thirty (30) days of the provisional appointment, it shall become an effective appointment.
