"Engineering Marvels of the Early 1900’s in Mariposa County… and Beyond”
November 7, 2017 - The Mariposa Museum and History Center is hosting another Fireside Chat at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Glenn Sutherland's presentation, "Engineering Marvels of the Early 1900’s in Mariposa County… and Beyond” will include historic photographs, amazing facts, and inside stories about several of the incredible feats of engineering and construction in the area of Mariposa that occurred about 100 years ago.
Glenn was born and raised in Iowa, and has lived in California since 1973. He and his wife (Kathy) have lived in Midpines since 1981. Glenn has been a fan and student of railroads and railroad history since he was a young child. He contributed to the recent construction of the Yosemite Valley Railroad exhibit at the Mariposa Museum. Admission to the event is free. The Mariposa Museum is located at 5119 Jessie Street in Mariposa.
