National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness

November 20, 2017 - One of Mariposa Heritage House roles within the Mariposa County community is to provide services to assist those struggling or experiencing hunger and homelessness. Such services include housing assistance, providing lunch and dinner, referrals to outside agencies who can assist such as the Manna House or Human Services, and more. With this in mind, National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week was the week of November 11-19, 2017.

In support of this awareness, Mariposa Heritage House will be hosting a 3-course dinner at Charles Street on Thursday, November 30th from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. In support of this awareness, we will have three speakers and a gift basket raffle. For the dinner, you have the choices of New York Steak, Salmon, or Risotto Mushroom with sides and a dessert. Tickets are being sold at $35 per ticket. You may purchase tickets at Mariposa Heritage House, or the Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help raise funds to help Mariposa Heritage House to continue providing these services and improve our operations. Also, we hope to help educate and advocate on this serious issue. We hope that you will join us for a nice night out and to support National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
