December 22, 2017 - Andrea Contreras' seventh and eighth grade class at Sierra Foothill Charter School led a food and toy drive the past few weeks. The students collected, counted, and packaged up the items as they came in. They also made graphs which they presented to the rest of the student body during morning announcements, updating everyone on each class's running total. Before break, Hannah and Alec LaRouche helped deliver the food items to our local Manna House. Chris Ramirez and Jeff Totten delivered the toys to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Department Kops for Kids toy drive and additional food items to Manna House. The school's grand total was 555 food and toy items collected to make the holidays a little brighter for many.
Toy donations accumulate, awaiting delivery to Kops for Kids,in the SFCS office.
